A wonderful 10-day trip to China gave us the chance to learn, explore, and build friendships. This memorable journey, held from November 14 to November 24, was organized by the embassy of the People’s Republic of China and included officials and community representatives from Gwadar, Pakistan. It was not just a tour but a great experience that showed us China’s amazing growth and strengthened the bond between our two countries.
The trip helped us learn about China’s rich culture, modern technology, and the disciplined lifestyle of its people. From historic sites to advanced technology hubs, each place we visited taught us something new and left us inspired.
China’s fast growth
One of the most impressive things we saw was how quickly China has developed. A great example of this is Shenzhen, a city that grew from a small fishing village into a major global city in just three decades. The city’s tall buildings, busy tech centers, and efficient transport systems show how China is focused on progress and innovation.
We visited leading companies and places such as Huawei, BYD, Yantian International Container Port, and the Zhuhai Gaolan Port Economic Zone. These visits showed us how China is a leader in technology, industry, and sustainable development. The size and success of these projects left us amazed.
Discipline and efficiency
One thing that stood out throughout our trip was the discipline and punctuality of the Chinese people. Whether it was in business or daily life, everything ran smoothly and on time. This habit of being responsible and valuing time plays a big role in China’s success.
We also felt the kindness and hospitality of the Chinese people. Their love and respect for Pakistan made us feel very welcome. This deep connection between our countries was clear in every interaction we had.
A green and clean future
China’s focus on protecting the environment was very inspiring. The cities were clean, with plenty of green parks and trees. We saw how China is working hard to use green energy and protect nature. These efforts show how much they care about creating a better, sustainable future for everyone.
Building bridges through CPEC
We also learned a lot about the Belt and Road Initiative, especially the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. This important project shows how China is helping Pakistan grow by building roads, railways, and other infrastructure.
These projects are not just about trade; they bring people closer together. Trips like ours help us understand each other’s cultures and build strong friendships. Programs that take people from Pakistan to China are especially helpful, as they allow them to experience China’s progress and traditions firsthand.
Exploring history and culture
The trip also included visits to cultural and historic sites such as the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, which helped us understand China’s long and rich history. The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge was another highlight. This 55-kilometer-long bridge is the world’s longest sea-crossing bridge and a great example of what China can achieve with hard work and vision.
Friendships and lessons
This trip was not just about visiting new places. It was about building friendships and learning from each other. The people we met and the experiences we shared will always stay with us. These exchanges help create stronger connections between countries and their people.
Such trips are especially valuable for the people of Gwadar, as they get to see China’s development and learn new ideas. These programs help build trust and friendship between China and Pakistan.
Looking ahead
As we finished our journey, one thing became clear: China’s progress shows what can be achieved with dedication and teamwork. This trip was full of inspiration and valuable lessons that will stay with us forever.
I hope such opportunities continue so more people can visit China and learn from its success. These exchanges strengthen friendships between nations and inspire us to work harder for the future.
This trip was more than a journey it was a celebration of learning, friendship, and hope for a brighter future. It showed us that when countries and people work together, they can achieve great things.
