Toyota-backed Pony.ai, an autonomous driving startup, filed on Friday for an initial public offering in the United States.
It has applied to list on the Nasdaq stock exchange under the ticker symbol “PONY”. Goldman Sachs, BofA Securities, Deutsche Bank, Huatai Securities and Tiger Brokers are the underwriters of the offering.
Established in 2016, the company saw its revenue hit $24.7 million in the first half of 2024, double the figure in the same period last year. Net loss attributable to the company was $51.3 million in the same period, compared with $69.4 million last year.
The company said it operates a fleet of over 250 robotaxis as well as some autonomous trucks. It said it has accumulated nearly 40 million kilometers of autonomous driving mileage, including around 4 million kilometers of driverless mileage.
