Western Beijing’s Mentougou district has curated four themed routes for the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival, enhancing the holiday experience for visitors. Over 50 cultural and tourism activities, including folk experiences and discounts, are set to be launched, as announced by the district’s culture and tourism bureau.
To combat the summer heat, Baihua Mountain offers a refreshing retreat where guests can revel in the vibrant hues of summer flowers, explore biodiversity, enjoy boat rides at Shuanglong Gorge, and embark on a forest mini train adventure.
Families can partake in engaging programs at Miaofeng Mountain, featuring cherry-picking and colored glaze making activities. For outdoor enthusiasts, camping and cycling routes encompassing fishing, music performances, dragon boat racing, and
zongzi
(glutinous rice dumplings) making are available.
Moreover, a blend of mural appreciation, ancient temple visits, and local cuisines enrich the Great Wall route, providing a diverse and immersive experience for all visitors.
