Chinese small home appliance manufacturer Joyoung has accelerated steps to expand the portfolio of its kitchen appliance products and bolster technological innovation, as the company aims to grab a bigger slice of the pie in the highly competitive kitchen appliance market.
The company rolled out its first soybean milk machine in 1994, currently its products cover a wide range of categories, such as blenders, rice cookers, air fryers, water purifiers, floor-cleaning machines and hair dryers, said Guo Lang, president of Joyoung.
It has placed great emphasis on the research and development of self-developed technologies, and accumulated 13,181 technical patents over the past 30 years, Guo said.
Joyoung has unveiled its latest household appliance products, including a non-stick rice cooker without Teflon coating, a high-speed blender and a water purification device, to satisfy people’s rising demand for high-quality and healthy lifestyles.
According to Beijing-based market consultancy All View Cloud, which specializes in home appliances, sales of China’s small home appliance sector reached 54.93 billion yuan ($7.6 billion) in 2023, down 9.6 percent year-on-year. The figure is expected to amount to 56.05 billion yuan this year.
