Senior Pakistani officials have highlighted the enduring bonds between Beijing and Islamabad by increasing the presence of Pakistani professionals and students in China, which has contributed to solidifying the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership between the two nations.
In a recent forum held in Beijing, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, the Federal Minister of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, underlined the importance of building bridges between academia and industry for national development between China and Pakistan.
The forum, under the theme of “Building Bridges between Academia and Industry”, brought together high-ranking government officials, private sector representatives, members of academia as well as Pakistani professionals and students residing in China.
Hussain said the Pakistani professionals and students in China have made key efforts to strengthen the bonds between Pakistan and China and advance the two nations’ shared aspiration for progress and prosperity.
“In a friendly country like China, each and every one of you is our ambassador,” he said.
Pakistani Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi also commended the Pakistan community for its contributions to solidifying the ‘all-weather strategic cooperative partnership’ between China and Pakistan.
He also underscored the significance of the forum in boosting interactions, exchanges and networks between Pakistani professionals and students.
The forum also featured panel discussions in which the speakers shared perspectives on current industry trends, highlighting the opportunities arising from China’s enhanced focus on new quality productive forces. They explained the importance of strengthening the knowledge corridor between China and Pakistan as part of the endeavors to foster an even stronger community of shared future of the two countries.
