Gucheng Village in Tanghe County, Henan Province, is harnessing solar energy through rooftop photovoltaic panels, boosting local incomes and supporting rural revitalization efforts.
Since June 2022, Tanghe has initiated three batches of rooftop photovoltaic power generation projects, not only boosting villager income, but also promoting livelihoods in local communities.
In order to improve customer service for photovoltaic systems, Tanghe County Power Supply Co has expanded service offerings. The company organized a team to conduct inspections on grid-connected distribution boxes, internet lines, metering devices, and other equipment for potential issues.
They also educate photovoltaic users on safety knowledge, equipment operation and maintenance best practices as well as common troubleshooting methods. Furthermore, they have established a special consultation booth specifically for photovoltaic power generation projects where customers can receive detailed information on national support policies, project application processes as well as overall grid-connected power generation procedures.
Their project managers are available to provide technical consulting services to address difficulties encountered during the grid-connection process. Thus, they accelerated implementation and created favorable conditions for smooth grid-connection of photovoltaic power generation.
By the end of 2023, the grid-connected scale has reached 1.03 million kilowatts. The county’s rooftop photovoltaic, including industrial and commercial, grid-connected scale has now reached 4.3 million kW, covering approximately 500 villages.
