MZUZU, Malawi — A search is underway in Malawi for the missing plane that carried the country’s Vice-President Saulos Chilima and nine others.
The plane belonging to the Malawi Defense Force went off the radar Monday morning and did not land at Mzuzu Airport in the northern region where the vice-president was supposed to connect by land to a funeral of the country’s former Attorney General and Justice Minister Ralph Kasambara.
The Malawi Defence Force and the Malawi Police Service, together with other security agencies, are on the ground in Chikangawa Forest in the outskirts of Mzuzu City where the plane is suspected to have gone missing.
