The 2024 Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Art and Design Award was inaugurated in Beijing on April 24, centering on the theme of green power.
Organizers revealed that participating designers will employ artistic techniques to underscore collaborative endeavors in domains such as energy security and energy infrastructure projects within the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation countries. The aim is to underscore the value and significance of this cooperative mechanism.
This year’s award introduces a novel competition category for posters themed around artificial intelligence, seeking to vividly showcase the latest achievements in international cooperation.
Concurrently, an exhibition during the event showcased past award-winning works, underscoring the award’s role as a conduit for fostering exchanges among artists from the participating countries within the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation framework, including China, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam.
Gao Anming, the editor-in-chief of China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration, emphasized that the administration, guided by the Lancang-Mekong cooperation framework, has bolstered comprehensive and multilevel exchanges and cooperation among the countries involved in this collaborative framework in recent years.
